Heads 4 Dreads was officially launched in 2000 in Brooklyn New York as a headwear company that specializes in headwear for people with dreadlocks. Since then H4D has expanded to a unique collection of sportswear inspired by the Rastafarian lifestyle. The brand is a modern approach to an established market. Our collection is designed to go everywhere reggae music goes. From the beach to the block party, H4D will bring the positive vibes and a culture consciousness whatever the scene.
Since the brand began we have had great success with our headwear and t-shirt line. Almost every major reggae act in the world has worn our product. Artists such as Steel Pulse, Sean Paul and Morgan Heritage have been seen in the brand. Other artist in different genres have also been seen sporting the label: Mos Def, Dead Prez, Lil’ John, just to name a few. In the coming years we will continue to promote culture globally via fashion.
For our 2006 spring collection we will offer a full collection of sportswear and beachwear to customers. H4D intends to maintain its position as the official brand representing the culture. The company slogan –“It’s a lifestyle not a hairstyle†captures the essence of our target audience.
