About Me

.. />The cultural one-stop shop, that came to be known by many as "Nic hol as” started out of the trunk of a car. Randolph Nicholas, the founder of the variety store, started by selling to stores around the city in 1974 and eventually getting a booth at a flea market in Queens. While keeping in mind his vision, Nicholas opened a store in the early eighties in Union Square bearing his family name. With hard work and determination, he moved his business to Harlem in June 2004 offering a wider range of products. Nicholas has since opened a second store on 125th Street in Harlem and the newest addition to the family in downtown Brooklyn. You can find conscious fashion, bath and body products, aromatherapy items, a large selection of greeting cards, conscious books and artifacts to name a few. Nicholas doesn’t just service his community, he also sells items wholesale and his shipping department reaches clients around the globe.Check out the newest addition to the Nicholas family in downtown Brooklyn located at 560 Fulton St. between Flatbush Ave. and Ashland Place in the old Nubian Heritage location. At this store you can find items by indie designers such as Revolutionary Black Gyrl, Still Simone, Ras Cloth, Alicia P., Afrocenchic, Beeing, Yacque Valdez, Sofia Loren Coffee, Ropeadope, and many others. Our store hours are Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday from 12 to 6 pm.
