Martin Koop and The Free Wild

About Me

I am selling My Gorgeous Flame Maple Takamine Acoustic/ Electric For Sale on Ebay Check it out. This is the guitar I played ever since Nashville, until I found my Holy Grail Martin . . . it as been set up by J. Thomas Davis and has the compensated bone saddle for wonderful tone, sustain, and intonation.
I have a fine family and kind friends, thank goodness, and that has made all the difference. These days I find myself reaching back to old friends I haven't seen and making many new friends.

The long awaited Gross Street Improvement has begun. Sadly, residents in the neighborhood did not know until Thursday that they would lose 75 of their trees in the process. The music accompanying the video is Glasgow fingerstyle guitar player, Bill Adair, who recorded the tune live at Java Rave this past Tuesday.

Band Website: toraigh.com
Band Members: Martin Koop is a performing songwriter who writes and performs folksy, passionate and occasionally witty original songs.

Folk Music Mission promotes homemade original and traditional music, featuring Martin Koop, Dave Mitten and other random friends. Folk Music Mission is more than a duo or a band. Its a big fat Venn Diagram of homemade music, sandwiches, old friends singing brand new songs and new friends singing ancient songs.

Toraigh is NW Ohio's traditional Irish band. Members include Bob Midden on Flutes, Whistles and Acoustic Bass; Mary Dennis on Fiddle, Mandolin, Bodhran and Banjo; and Martin Koop on Guitars. And they all sing together. . . isn't that the way it should be?

Toraigh's album "Tripping up the Stairs" is available at

Sounds Like: A noisy dining car on a passenger train full of raucous ne'er-do-wells packing fiddles, guitars, whistles, and other instruments of mass deconstruction.
