About Me

The Pillbugs regret to inform their fans of the tragic passing of their bass player/singer/songwriter/brother, Mark Kelley. Mark battled cancer for 9 years before his life was abruptly ended on Saturday May 3, 2008. He was 45. Please keep his wife Karen, his children and other surviving family members, as well as his bandmates, in your thoughts and prayers. He will be laid to rest On Wednesday May 7, 2008.
We love you and will miss you Mark Kelley...

Sounds Like: We think we have our own sound. You'll hear our influences but it's not a copy of the past. Just imagine Psychedelic music if it had grown into something else not exclusively for the drug culture...if it continued as "listening music" co-existing with (instead of being replaced by) "dance music"...in some alternate universe. There are some who believe that this road can only lead to rehash. We just ran the stop sign because- that's where the future lies. Synthetics can only last so long. We don't use samples, drum loops, sequencing, autotune or any kind of computer/digital methods- just actual musicians playing actual instruments recorded to beautiful analog tape. Somebody's gotta keep it real, yes?
