Over the years I have explored many avenues musically. I have never found myself content to stay in one sound, style or influence. The last several years I have been focused on traditional American music forms such as bluegrass & folk guitar, with a big emphasis on the work of Norman Blake. Never have I heard such create control as Mr. Blake offers up. He is able to do so much with so little. To clarify that, he has developed a style that, for the most part, utilizes only the "first 5 frets". I like to think of it as creative growth from restraint.

---------One thing that has come from my somewhat schizophrenic musical adventure is a diverse set of influences. It is from these influences that my next musical endeavors are spawn. Currently in the works is a new project, an acoustic quintet in the framework established by David Grisman. This quintet will feature myself on Acoustic Guitars, Steven Fox on Upright Bass, Gary Puckett on Acoustic Guitar & Banjo, Mark Fitzharris on Mandolin & David Blankesteyn on Hand Percussion. All of us are contributing to both composition & arrangements. Even in its early stages this group is showing to be something special & I'll have more to say about it soon.
