About Me

I’m from Argentina, land of tango, folklore, asados (BBQ) y family. Drums are my life; it’s been like that since I was 14. I love the fact of been playing music & at the same time it’s like been somewhere else when I do that. It’s like going to another dimension. It’s like connecting with things that are not into the material world, like been part of the whole thing; yes the whole universe. I had been to many countries playing, touring or visiting. Los Angeles it’s been a place where diverse civilizations occur to be all together, and of course is where I founded my self immerse in the big picture as part of it. My roots are music from Buenos Aires, in other words Tango, but most likely Piazzolla, and my very good teacher Rodolfo Alchourron. I remember my father, who used to play endless tangos at 8 am in the morning on a Sunday, (Note: I used to go sleep at 6 am after a long night of pachanga with my friends). Brazilian music always has been music played at home too. That was my mother, an amazing theater teacher and actress, who thought me acting since very little. The other extense chapter is jazz, through Miles Davis, john Coltrane and most specific Bill Evans, who it’s by far one of the most sensibility musicians I ever hear. As part of my journey I’m currently playing and gigging with Nicholas Gunn, AFRO TANGO ENSEMBLE, Quetzalcoat and Juan Estanga trio among others. When I am in town I write and produce various artists. Below is a partial list of people that I have played, recorded and or toured with: Tizziano Ferro, Cabas, John Chiodini, John Flaherty, Loren Gold, Grupo Quetzalcoat, Voxingueiro, Russell Ferrante, Miguel Kerstman (Amazónica Project), Monica Campins, Hussain Jiffry, Livdoria Johnson, Trianna Moon on T.r.a.p at the Playboy Jazz Festival, Bryan Baker Project, Keith Nichols, Space Plane, Jess Perk, Evren Edler, Joey Lima, Peter Kolar & Peter Rubalcava from WLP, Dolores Gomez, Coro de Los Angeles, Marcelo Berestovoy Quintet, Plumn Jam” Trio, INCA The Peruvian Ensemble, Elisabeth Waldo, Laura Valle Group, Ana Betancour, Bloco Latino Ensemble, Michael Collins Jazz Trio at Thelonius Monk Institute USC, & Jack Chandler among others. I use Istambul Agop Cymbals, Sonor Drum Set and Vic Firth Sticks.
