i just moved to los angeles from nyc. while in new york i was fortunate enough to play with some of he best musicians in the world. such as conrad korsch, john ellis, carlos alomar, danny sadownick, javier, uri caine, jonathan kreisberg, dave binney, dieselboy, george garzone, juancho herrera, gustavo amarante, renato thoms, panagiotis andreou, the mason brothers, bob reynolds, jon cowherd, jessica lurie, mike manieri, ron affif, graham haynes, claudia acuna, matt beck, eric krasno, jonathan townes, joe lovano, oz noy, ben street, tom barney, kermit driscoll, nir felder,johannes wallman, matt rubano, jesse gibbon, bryan charette, nunzio signoire, chris buono, manu koch, enrique haniene, dennis mitcheltree, janek gwizdala, pete mc cann, queen esther, scott wendholdt, ritchie and erin canata, bernie worell, fil eisler, stu brooks, dave holmes, borham lee, john deley, coung vu, jim mc neeley, deep banana blackout,the harlem gospel choir. i've logged thousands of hours of studio time for at least a hundred different projects. i've worked with producers such as robbie adams (U2, Smashing Pumpkins) Jay Newland (Norah Jones, Pat Metheny), jamie seigal (lauryn hill, whittney houston) ryan shore (with whom i recorded the soundtrack to kevin smiths film vulgar). i've played in some influential local bands like the surf punk son montuno propeled cuban cowboys, electro psychorockers vic thrill, intelligent popsters goodbye girl friday(on three of their cds), latin funksters radio mundial(with whom i recorded their first cd) sothen(on their debut disk as well)and the bomb squad(also on their first recording), bigger than a bread box, lionfish, LP, mimulus, like yesterday, the dang-it bobbys, and cool hand. i've also worked in high end club date agencys like starlight orchestra among many others, i've played in off broadway productions such as Batboy the musical and View from 151st. while all of these situations were gratifying in their own way: i felt that i was in need of a change, and decided LA would be a great new playground for me. i've hit the ground running upon arrival. the cuban cowboys relocated to the west coast (sort of) so i fell into a few gigs with el capitan and company, and i've also played with vertical horizon, nick mancini, otmaro ruiz, carlitos del puerto, ron eshete, brad rabuchin, pablo calogera, oskar cartaya and his band enclave, nestor torres, joey de leon, sean hurley, david ryan harris, rene camacho, prashant aswani, jerry watts, ron eshete, brad rabuchin. in addition i've met and worked with stellar producer steve weisberg, and guru and leader of the hipster proletariat hal wilner. my new project debuted at the baked potato on july 3rd. its called babbo la banda. i'm very excited about it. i'd like to thank my comrade in arms fausto cuevas III who has been instrumental in getting me up and running since my arrival. whats next? we'll see. so far so good...
