About Me

www.myspacetags.comBorn in 1946, just after WWII, Kenny began in radio work. Having been turned down by the BBC, he began work on the pirate station Radio London, but was fired after saying rude comments on the air. After working on BBC Radio 1, a similar event occured after making rude remarks about a politicians' wife. When working for Capital Radio, Everett began work on his first character that would appear in his later works, Captain Kremmen. After Capital Radio, Everett, along with Roy Cameron, started on Granada and later Thames TV to bring his radio gags on TV. After a successful start in THE KENNY EVERETT VIDEO SHOW (Later releasing a video cassette of his work), Everett joined the BBC whilst working on Radio Two.Now starring in THE KENNY EVERETT TELEVISION SHOW, Kenny became good friends with Billy Connolly, who appeared on the show, and a sketch mimicking singer Rod Stewart went to No. 18 in the Top 100 funniest sketches.Kenny also released a "Snot Rap" as character SId Snot, which stayed in the charts for most of the 1980's. Also releasing the poorly-animated KREMMEN: THE MOVIE, Everett made two video cassettes of sketches that had been censored by the BBC.Until 1992, Everett worked on Radio Two and fell ill. He died in 1995 of AIDS, but his show reached No. 25 in the top-50 ITV shows.
