About Me

Born and raised in Casper Wyoming, being eclectic with music was like asking for a veggie burger at an Angus convention. Surrounded by old country , rock and roll (new and old), punk rock, metal, and industrial , roots began to form for Becky. But her real connection with music came from watching musicals and movies, and falling in love with Andrew Lloyd Weber and Danny Elfmans' works. Struggling for years to find a balance between film and radio, miss atchleys works are definately not of the norm. With haunting vocals supporting raw poetic lyrics, score-esque strings, and driving beats, miss atchleys work can vary from celtic to industrial , to new/dark wave, to synth pop and more. "I want people to step out of the norm for 3 minutes of a song, " miss atchley says, " If not to love it, but to hate it , then atleast i know ive done my job. I want to create 'moving' music. Where you can be driving in your car and have that ONE song that sweeps you out of reality. Or that ONE song that can pull on your heart strings for any occasion. If one person is connecting with a song because of a broken heart, and another because of a new found love...then ive succeeded. " As a one-woman band , Becky states she has not found it easy. "Most one-man bands , especially with woman, are with a guitar or just piano and the singer. i carry my whole band in my computer. and get help from very talented musician friends and family when i can. and i wouldnt have it any other way."
