Meg

I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Sarcastic and silly, bratty and bitter, sickly and sweet. I'm passionate about life and my interests. I'm becoming increasingly more disabled, so I'm in a period of transition while I try to figure out what I'm going to be able to do with my life since I can no longer physically do what I have worked toward for as long as I have been coherent. I'm a bizarre mix of "goth", "industrial", "science geek", and something I have never been able to remotely define. Call me "freak", "geek" or even "Meg" and I'll answer.

My Interests

Tatting, sewing, crafts, knitting, reading, goth, industrial, synthpop, cats, puppies, animals, biology, horror movies, asian cinema, asian culture, botany, ancient cultures, celtic, gaelic, history, ancient egypt, linguistics, languages, food, anatomy, Yersinia pestis, bubonic plague, rabies, hemorrhagic diseases, chronic pain syndrome, chronic diseases, immunology, genetics, anime, cartoons, Geiger, some video games, Amano, reading, fiction, cryptozoology, anthropology, medieval history, literature, pirates, science, childfree, pro-choice, ebola, Dengue fever, tetanus, epidemeology, forensics, animal rights, atheist rights, fighting the "religious right", twisted art, medical accessories, underground medicine, mutter museum, Edward Gorey, rabies, gallows humor, Distorted View Daily, laughter at any possible thing (ok, almost), botany, gardening, knitting, zombies, the mind, video games, philanthropy, drug development, medical care reform, government reform, vet medicine, adult swim, cartoons. You know what I don't care about? Your band or your religion. Leave me alone if you're here to push it on me.

I'd like to meet:

Friends, people to hang out with, people I can converse with and learn from. I've begun to dabble in tatting, knitting, and sewing, and I would especially love to have some people to be crafty with. Other Asian/horror movie fans would be a plus as well. I'm a super science and medical geek, especially the more unusual or macabe areas, and would love to meet others of my ilk to share knowledge and resources. I am always down with having my mind blown by a twisted artist I'd never heard of or a whole new direction in thought I had yet to find. I enjoy it when I find new music to fall in love with. Revel in oddness, teach me, and explore along with me. Also- Doc Hammer, Jackson Publick, Takashe Miike, Penn Gillette, Teller, Weird Al Yankovich, Tim Henson, Jon Stewart, Adam Sessler... plenty more whom I am forgetting at the moment.
