About Me

Marcus Ore was born and raised in Diego Martin, Trinidad W.I. for the majority of his youth. Growing up on an island known for their love for music and dance, he was exposed to many musical influences.Gravitating to reggae music in his early adolescence, Marcus was captivated by reggae dub riddims. Marcus loved the simple but deep philosopy of Bob Marley and the Wailers, the charismatic style of Jacob Miller and the simply smooth style of Gregory Isaac.At the age of 18, he migrated to Toronto, Canada where he spent some years working and going to school. During his spare time he will write poetry which brought out his inner most thoughts, in collaboration with his passion for reggae music these poems eventually became songs.Marcus Ore enrolled himself into the Toronto Film School where he studied and graduated with a diploma in "Sound Technology", and it was also there he met people of common interest and soon enough began to record and perform on the Toronto circuit.A love for his craft is very evident with his strong work ethic and deep creativity in his music. Marcus's music speaks of love, oppression, joy and words of encouragement.Marcus Ore is a voice of reasoning who speaks from the heart, keep an eye open for this emerging talent.
