Recycling Does Good. Recycle inkjet printer cartridges. Recycle cell phones. Help kids beat cancer.

About Me

Those of you who have ever had surgery know the feeling of emerging from that dark void when you wake up from the anesthesia. After my second cancer surgery I had a profound experience upon waking up. Before reaching full consciousness, in the darkness, a thought clearly came to mind...

“You will never go through this again”.
Call it what you will, spiritual comfort, or sub conscious will, that thought was quite clear, and completely real . I woke up absolutely certain that I would never have cancer again. My name is Tom, and I’ve been cancer free for over 34 years.
Pediatric cancer is so devastating. Cancer progresses much faster in children’s growing bodies than in adults. Sadly, funding for pediatric cancer research is very poor. The real tragedy is that if properly funded, medicines and treatments which work on more aggressive childhood cancers could also be applied to adults.
Earthtone Solutions's CURE Recycling program provides much needed funding and awareness to CURE Childhood Cancer's research and support programs. Through our program, you can recycle printer cartridges and cell phones to benefit pediatric cancer research and the environment.
We offer free shipping. Fundraisers are available for schools, churches , and non-profits. Raising cash for your group will also benefit CURE!
Give this simple program some thought. Instead of throwing that empty inkjet cartridge or old cell phone in the trash, send it our way. You can learn much more about our recycling program, or CURE from our web site. Get started today at www.earthtonesolutions.com. Thanks for your support!

Earthtone Solutions has been in the recycling business since early 2003. Our commitment to CURE Childhood Cancer dates to mid 2005.
We'd like to share some information with you, gathered from our experience, as well as industry surveys and statistics.
Recycling of printer cartridges and cell phones is a common sense issue. When recycled, printer cartridges and cell phones are kept out of land fills and incinerators. Less resources like oil are used to manufacture new ones. And with our program, money is raised to benefit pediatric cancer research, not to mention the fundraising benefits to schools, churches and non-profits.
Consider the following:
* Over 700,000,000 new printer cartridges were sold in the United States during 2005. 650 million were inkjets, and 70 million were toner cartridges. Each inkjet cartridge requires 2 1/2 ounces of oil to produce. Each toner requires up to 3 1/2 quarts.
* 86% of inkjets used in the USA are thrown away; that's 559,000 inkjet cartridges.
* Printer cartridges account for over 875 million pounds of ewaste each year. Stacked end to end, they could circle the world.
* Printer cartridges can be recycled on average between 5 to 7 times.
* The average life span of a cell phone is 18 months.
* About 130 million cell phones are thrown away each year. Hundreds of millions more are stored away, going unused.
* Cell phones contain toxic elements including arsenic, mercury, lead, copper, zinc, and flame retardants which can be released into the ground water if dumped in land fills, and into the air if incinerated.
* 2.3% of Americans recycle their cell phones. 7% throw them away. The same survey suggests that 90% would recycle cell phones if they thought it was convenient.
FREE IS GOOD!
With our recycling program, we will send you free FedEx return labels. You can recycle your old cell phone or empty printer cartridge without having to carry it off to some drop-off location. Just order our free return label, collect 20 or more items, and send them in.
Remember, we're good for the environment, we're good for energy conservation, we're good for fundraisers, and we're good for kids.
