I am Tsalagi. In English that is Cherokee. I am Half Cherokee and Half Scottish. I am an older rock musician from the '60 & '70s rockers. Now I rock for The Rock. And I am a walking miracle. Why? Read on my brothers and sisters. I followed Traditional Native Spirituality until 1999. Before that I had tried New Age, Buddhism, and many other spiritual ways. I was searching, because my Christian background was filled with family violence. I wanted no part of the God that had not saved me from abuse. I was insecure because of my childhood and filled with lust. I could not be loyal in relationships. I was addicted to porn and sex. I had been married three other times before my present relationship. In 1999 a doctor gave me a medicine on top of an herb I was taking, the two interacted. My heart began to fail. My body quit making vital hormones necessary for life. And my brain chemistry was wiped out so that I became mentally ill. I spent years in mental institutions. I was a dying crazy man. During one of my "spells" (as I called them), my mind suddenly cleared and Jesus came to me in a vision. He said something like, "The pain is only temporary. But the joy is forever. Come and follow me." I told my wife that I wanted to go to church. She is Cherokee (adopted by whites because of the assimilation program that took Native kids from their families to assimilate them into white families). She has been a Christian from her youth and was overjoyed to hear me say that I wanted to go to church. We moved from Auburn, Ga. because we had no money and were homeless, to Darien, Ga. where a Creek fellow took us in and gave us a home. He lost his place and we were homeless again. Many churches pitched in here to help us. But the one that accepted and loved us just as we were and allowed me to play the kind of Christian music that inspires me to worship, was this mostly African American church and their pastor. This was Griffin Lotson's church, Sams Memorial Church of God in Christ. They began to pray for us and I was rebaptized (by another church earlier) and became a Christian again. God kept giving me these Christian songs to soothe me while I was ill and suffering. Through God, I wrote over 200 Christian songs during my illness. But I kept begging for healing. One day God came to me in another vision. He said, "Do you see the sun and the moon, how they move gradually? That is how I will heal you." The doctors told me that this was impossible. They said that there was no cure for me. They wanted to try putting electrodes in my brain to stop my "spells" and my attacks on myself and my family. I was desperate. I began to read the Bible intensely and pray and read scripture out loud for hours. And I learned to fast. Through little one at a time miracles during services at the church and special happenings at home, a miraculous healing occurred. I am no longer mentally ill. My heart is perfectly healthy. My hormones are still messed up. But only God knows what can happen now? God heals through Jesus Christ. He healed me! Hallelujah! I no longer am afraid to go out of the house. When I came here, I was clutching a water bottle, a slobbering, uncontrollable mess, like a baby. God has brought me so far. I am free, not only mentally and physically, but spiritually. Even the doctors had to admit that it is a miracle. I am a full blown Pentecostal Christian now, because no other spiritual way worked to heal me. Now, I tell all who will listen, including Native people, to me, Jesus is the only REAL spiritual way. There is no other. All of my hatred for Christianity is gone. It was not Jesus' fault what happened to me as a kid. And He has healed me of it. And He has healed me of my lust and porn and sexual addiction. I am a walking miracle and testimony to the power of Jesus Christ and a sincere group of praying believers. And during this time in our life when no income was coming in Griffin Lotson supported us financially, mentally, and spiritually. His comfort and encouragement for me to continue with the gift of music that God has given me, at a time when I had completely quit because others criticism, was one of the factors that saved my life. And he is my friend to this day. We still go to that little church, which is mostly African Americans, that took us in and cared for us and prayed for us and loved us, which is not little anymore, because God has blessed it for the peoples faithfulness. We are one of the few families who are not African American. But all races come to this church and worship God. And I know that is how God has it in Heaven. All of us worshiping together for His glory. WE ARE GLAD TO COOPERATE WITH OUR PARK RANGERS ON THIS PROJECT.ONCE AGAIN THE COMMUNITY WENT TO THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MEETINGS. AND ONCE AGAIN PALMS WERE GREASED AND THE PROJECT WAS PUSHED THROUGH BY OUR NOTORIOUS THREE COMMISSIONERS.I WENT TO THE PARK FOLKS THAT ARE RIGHT BESIDE THE PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT. AND I ASKED THEM IF WE COULD PRAY RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FORT. BY LAW I REALLY DON'T NEED TO HAVE THEIR PERMISSION TO BE IN THE 10 FOOT RIGHT OF WAY BETWEEN THE ROAD AND THEIR PROPERTY. BUT I DO IT FOR RESPECT. THE FORT KING GEORGE FOLKS ARE ON OUR SIDE THEY RESPECT BURIALS AND KNOW THAT THERE ARE BURIALS ON THIS SMALL ONE ACRE AREA THAT THEY ARE GOING TO BUILD 17 CONDOS ON WITH A SWIMMING POOL AND TENNIS COURTS. (ALL THIS ON ONE ACRE?) THEY ARE PLANNING TO STACK THE CONDOS RIGHT ON THE MARSH (ANOTHER SINKING STRUCTURE). THE ENVIRONMENTAL FOLKS HAVE JOINED US ALSO, BECAUSE IF THE MARSHES GO OUR PROTECTION AGAINST HURRICANES AND OUR FILTRATION SYSTEM FOR WATER POLLUTION GOES WITH THEM.WE GOT THERE AT 3PM EST. I HAD BEEN THERE EARLIER TALKING TO THE PARK FOLKS. AS USUAL I INSTRUCTED NOT TO TALK TO ANY HOSTILE PERSON. JUST PRAY.THEY CALLED THE POLICE AS USUAL AND GOT NOTHING FROM THEM BECAUSE WE HAVE THIS WHOLE THING CHECKED OUT LEGALLY (REMEMBER MY INSTRUCTIONS FOR PLANNING FOR BATTLE).NEXT I BEGAN TO PRAY OUT LOUD. I CALLED ON CREATOR GOD TO TOUCH THEIR HEARTS. I HAD ASKED HIM TO BRING A THUNDER STORM TO STOP THIS EVENT. BUT I HEARD HIS ANSWER IN MY SPIRIT THAT HE WANTED THEM TO HEAR WHAT HE WAS PUTTING IN MY MOUTH. SO HE DENIED MY REQUEST FOR RAIN AND THUNDER. LOL BUT MY PUNY VIEW ON THIS SITUATION IS ABOUT LIKE A GRUNT. AND HE IS THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF AND THE FIELD COMMANDER AND THE PLATOON SARG ALL IN ONE. HE KNOWS IT ALL. HIS VIEW OF THE SITUATION IS UNIVERSAL. MINE IS FINITE. HIS IS INFINITE.NEXT I BEGAN TO TELL THEM IN MY PRAYER OUT LOUD WHAT HAPPENS TO THOSE WHO DESECRATE BURIALS AND DESTROY THE EARTH.AS I PRAYED ALL YOUR VOICES CAME TO ME. I COULD FEEL YOUR PRAYERS. WHAT A RUSH!!! BUT YOUR PRAYERS WERE TRANSLATED INTO CREATOR GOD'S POWERFUL SPIRIT BEING THERE. I THOUGHT, "MAN, I COULD LIVE LIKE THIS ALL THE TIME!!!" LOL BUT I KNOW THAT, THAT AIN'T HOW IT WORKS.AS I PRAYED MY BEING WAS FILLED AND WORDS CAME POURING OUT. CREATOR'S PRESENCE JUST TOOK OVER. I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER ALL THAT I SAID.A YOUNG MAN IN A FANCY CAR CAME AND ASKED ABOUT WHAT I WAS DOING THERE. I TOLD HIM. HE SAID SURELY THEY DID AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL STUDY. I TOLD HIM HOW THEY HAD SKIRTED THAT WITH BUY OUTS AND PAY OFFS, HE SAID THAT HE WAS GOING TO THEIR GRAND OPENING EVENT. GEE I WONDER IF HE TALKED TO THE REST OF THE GUESTS. UH OH THE WORD GOT OUT. LOLNEXT A BOSS HOGG TYPE OLD MAN PULLED UP AND TRIED TO STARE ME DOWN. LOL HE DON'T KNOW WHO IS IN ME. I PRAYED HARDER AND HE MASHED HIS PEDAL TO THE FLOOR TO GET AWAY FROM CREATOR GOD'S PRESENCE.(((FOLKS WHEN I'M IN BATTLE MODE AND FILLED WITH HIS SPIRIT FEAR JUST AIN'T A FACTOR ANY MORE FOR ME. AS MY LAKOTA BROS SAY, HOKA HEY!!! LET'S DO IT, MAN!!!)))THEN OUT OF THE CLEAR BLUE SKY (YEAH RIGHT) THESE YOUNG PEOPLE ARRIVED WITH A VIDEO CAMERA. THEY JUST HAPPENED TO BE IN THE AREA (YEAH. RIGHT. AND WHEN THEY DO SHOW UP THEY DON'T WANT ANY PICS TAKEN OF THEM FOR THE BAD GUYS TO SEE. I GUESS I LOOK LIKE A CAMERA HOG. BUT THAT REALLY DOESN'T TELL THE STORY.THE DEVELOPER AND HIS GUESTS WENT AND HID IN THE BACK PART OF THE ONE ACRE PLOT THAT IS BEHIND AN OLD BRICK HOUSE. AND SO WE GOT NO PICS OF THEM.
