About Me

The Coach

With his roots in radio at a very early age Steve found himself at KEZY in Orange County, Ca., as an on air personality and news copy reader. This quickly expanded into commercial work and worldwide syndicated radio programming, where he did voice over and character acting for the next 6 years. After becoming bored with college, where he majored in communications, Steve then began making ends meet with freelance T.V. commercial projects and script writing. As co-owner, creator and producer at Last Chance Productions, he and his business partner, Anthony Chase, have spent the past 10 years working on new television concepts and film development. As a side life note, Steve has devoted a good portion of his time to working with at-risk-youth in a therapeutic setting. To that end, over 20 years were spent in behavioral and emotional observation. This, combined with over 16 years in the entertainment field, would prove to be the catalyst for Steve to begin The Actors Room. As a technique and scene study coach for the past 5 years (private lessons, on-set, and in a workshop environment) Steve passes on his signature "Real Life" acting technique to his students. In addition to a host of past and present affiliations, Steve is a respected member of BIOLA University's Studio Task Force to Hollywood.
"My desire is to please God, motivate others to achieve what they love, and to eat a great meal!"
The Actors Room Workshop is structured around the study/practice of film and television.
Statement of Purpose
The purpose clear, the goal obtainable. The dream realized by everyone tired of saying "what if".
The Actors Room Workshop is dedicated to providing the willing Actor an opportunity to learn the most up-to-date, inspirational, and insightful acting techniques used in Hollywood and the film/television industry.
With the use of exclusive trainings, such as, "Introspective Breathing", (the art of using personal breathing patterns to provoke emotion more naturally), personable workshop settings, exposure to industry professionals, networking opportunities, and much more, actors will be given a solid foundation for success. The Actors Room goal is to help its Actors (veteran or beginner) develop into confidant, knowledgeable, multi-dimensional WORKING professionals, responsible for his/her own artistic growth and achievement.
Being prepared is the best way to equip yourself for success!
Mission Statement

"Acting" can be no less than the deepest form of creative expression. To understand the craft, is to understand self-expression, as well as, becoming the voice and embodiment of others in the most passionate, and risk-taking way imagined by the human mind.
To desire such a task requires the ability to stand exposed and emotionally available, free from all inhibition, on the world stage. The true actor feels an inalienable love and focused drive, which allows him/her to be happy doing little else.
What an admirable profession it is to bring purpose and expression to a story that must be told.
