Music:
My personal downloaded music list is a pretty eclectic collection. Mostly consisting of feel good rock-n-roll and classic ballads: Def Leppard, Coldplay, U2, Guns and Roses, Lenny Kravitz, .38 Special, Sting; Police, Alicia Keys, McLaughlin, Sheryl Crow, some off the beaten track artists like, Republic, and the Star 98.7 "Star Lounge" live sets as well as the Virgin Record newly signed artists for 2006. I also like a lot of good '70's and '80's and '90's stuff. Lived on Maui (Hawaii) for about 9 months and fell in love with some of their folk ballads; Izzy is amazing.Like a wide variety of music from around the world and enjoy the songs because they remind me of when I was there, of the culture and the people and always bring back great memories.
Movies:
**Preface** I'm a movie junky, so I could go on here for days and days ad infintum ad nausium. So I will try and hold myself back:COMEDY: So I Married An Axe Murderer,(just about any Mike Myers flick) Tommy Boy, Montey Pythons "Holy Grail", Liar Liar, Office Space, Princess Bride, Napolean Dynamite.DRAMA: Braveheart, Lethal Weapon (any Gibson film, Tombstone, Hotel Rawanda, Gladiator, X-Men (all three), American History X, Fight Club, Oceans Eleven, Bourne Identity, Star Wars, Forrest Gump, Matrix (all three), Schindler's List, Silence of The Lambs, Face-Off, 9th Configuration, Indiana Jones (all of em and most Harrison Ford Films)Fast and the Furious.SCARY: Texas Chainsaw Murders, The Ring, Blair Witch, Hostel, Excorcism of Emily Rose, An American Haunting, loved the Scary Movie Sequels.LOVE STORIES: City of Angeles, Count of Monte Cristo, Last of The Mohicans, The Notebook, Big Fish, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Anything with Meg Ryan and love most of Tom Hanks flicks. [The only exception being the Da Vince Code as it is a wonderfully sensational spin doctored tale of conspiracy- although it is unarguably a well written, fascinating story, it's simply not based on historical facts]. Wow, there's a tangent for ya. Love Disney Films for the most part and Shrek (I and II) and the Incredibles were "INcredible", "Toy Story" Chronicles of Narnia, Lord of the Ring. (All) Lady Jane, and about a million more...
Television:
Sporadic TV watcher. have a wide variety of shows I like but am not stuck on any one show. Like the Simpsons, That 70's Show, American Idol, and 24, as well as Prison Break, Desperate Housewives, Nip and Tuck and some Discovery shows about sharks and 20/20 and watch CNN/FOX 11 NEWS. (but only when there is world news of interest, not conspiracy theory, Michael Moore Spin Doctoring stuff).
Books:
Aside from "Wuthering Heights" (Emily Bronte)~an amazing classic...and Some of C.S.Lewis's works like "The Great Divorce" I'm not much of an avid reader as I used to be...not even that sharp of an apologist anymore...Instead, I thought that I'd throw down some poetry that I have been researching for my latest screenplay. It's a High Concept; Big Budget Feature Film / "Enoch Arden". I've been reading hundreds of poems, only included the ones that moved me.Love is the whole and more than all-Compared to my hearts desire the sea is but a drop-What is it that you express in your eyes? It seems to me more than all the words I have read in my life-I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am when I am with you-Lovers don't meet one day they're in each other all along-Whatever our souls are made of yours and mine are the same-Within you, I lose myself, without you, I find myself, searching to be lost again-Give all to love, Obey your heart-True love helps you find things you didn't know were missing in your life. It helps you fill spaces you didn't know were empty-No one has ever measured, even poets how much the heart can hold-It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye-
