THE LEGEND OF WOOFIE BONES

.. Frozen and starved, he was lost in the snow,
But later was found by one we all know.
A red blanket was used to fashion a bed,
And then there was made a collar of red.
Twelve birthstones were placed on the collar in gold,
And soon the limp puppy was safe from the cold.
A stone for each month so the puppy would know,
Every child that is born for a birthstone would glow.
The love of small children all over the world,
Makes him a friend to each whether boy or girl.
Now, from twilight to sunrise, in cities and towns,
The puppy moves quickly to make all his rounds.
For those not yet twelve, he knows all their names,
On their birthday, he visits and joins in their games.
From party to party with great swiftness he speeds,
As he moves unnoticed to do his good deeds.
When bedtime is near, and it's time for some sleep,
Put a bow by the pillow for the puppy to keep.
Be sure that you leave him a big slice of cake,
And both will be gone before you awake.
While all are asleep and it's late in the night,
With a splatter of color and flickers of light,
He'll whisper to you in soft, loving tones,
Happy Birthday, from your friend, Woofie Bones.

Autism needs all the cheerleaders and fans in the stands we can muster. The cause must be found. Now, it's 1 in 10,000 , 1 in 5,000 , 1 in 1,000 , 1 in 500 ,1 in 166 , 1 in 150. Where will we be when it's every child and the world is still in denial?
MY STORY
I live at the North Pole with Santa Claus. I luv birthday parties. I have two eyes and a nose as black as coal and my mouth is shaped in a way it looks like I'm saying "Woof". When I was found lost in the snow, I was so skinny, you could see my bones. So my new family called me Woofie Bones. I got lost again and Santa found me on Christmas Eve, and made me a collar with twelve birthstones. I go with Santa on Christmas Eve every year. The rest of the year until you are twelve, each stone on my collar glows when it is your birthday. Although you cannot see me, I'll come to your birthday party, so before you go to sleep, place some cake on a dish and a bow on your pillow and both will be gone before you awake.
