Globe trotter, A&R, Musician, Producer on his label NO FRIDGE, the razor-sharp programming of one of Frances most adventurous DJs carry on with exploring world music. He delivers an exciting remix of the sprouting and contagious sounds : Eastern Europe and Dj culture meet with a surprising and unorthodox result.
After setting the band UHT° in 2000, opening a gate in electronic music, he met the Moroccan Gnawa Njoum from Essaouira, then explored Eastern Europe borders with Rona Hartner (Gadjo Dilo) and produced two albums from the Boum Ba Clash collection.
He then realised Labesse, meaning you re alright ? Desired to cross cultures, this album builds a new bridge between electronic and oriental music. It is dedicated to the dignity of women, to outline a message of hope for peace in the Middle East, to end the fanaticisms, and to bring people together of different origins and cultures thanks to music.
In 2006 he released UHT° second album «Ghost Forest» made on recycle paper, where wood, the wind of instruments, and the fire of turntables collide and combust with each other. ClicK directed its message safeguarding the environment and against deforestation much of it illegal on our continents.
2007 issues Dj ClicK Flavour, a spicy double CD compilation perfumed with travels and feelings from abroad, in which Balkan & Orient music crossover with electro inflexion. 28 tracks most of them unreleased yet, with Gypsys playing Drum’n Bass and Dub, the folk dances discovering the stroboscopes and the sub basses, the Gnawa swaping their guembri with keyboards… A patchwork of blended and forerunners talents : Leontina Vaduva, Mitsoura, Burhan Öçal, Project Zlust, Trans Global Underground, Rachid Taha, Fantazia, Laxula, Recycler, Stefano Miele, Tziganiada, N.o.h.a....
To be followed another brilliant unexpected collaboration with the famous Leontina Vaduva, French soprano classical Diva of Romanian origin and Tziganiada the Gypsy string band he’s been working with for three years now, teaching them how to play on loops and machines, and learning from them their mad repertoire and how to incorporate respectfully traditional musicians with their different modes and wild rhythmics. For a new spirit of Folklorotronic !
No limit, No trouble for mixing tradition with modernity, No borders, No Fridge…
