About Me? I'm Sophie and I'm 21. I've spent my life in three places, Warrington, Rome and Manchester, but I don't come from any of the 3. My accent dictates something Lancashire-esque but it isn't strong enough to be proven. Thankfully I do not sound like either a Warrington Chav or a Mancunian. The two things I love more than anything in this world are music and my friends.
I work at Salford Uni, and I adore my job and the people that I work with. I am a filthy-no-good-drop out from Manchester Uni, and am currently doing an Open University degree in English Literature and Language. I think a lot of people probably think I have the worst job ever, but i really enjoy it sometimes. Other times I don't.
I spend any free time doing one of several things:
a) playing World of Warcraft
b) chillaxing with my favourite people, that would be Serena (look, it's a clicky!), Sarah (she has no clicky!) and Will Pierce (but he has a clicky!)
c) watching a band i love
d) finding and listening to and going to see new music
e) being a couch potato
f) dancing like a twat in 5th/jillys/satans
g) meeting new people
h) writing about bands
simple pleasures for simple minds, ey!
By far, the most important things in my life are my closest friends, and the beautiful bands i love.
I am known as the snap happy one for my obsession with photographs.
I love buying and wrapping presents far more than I should.
I have a definite frog obsession. learn to live with it!
Likes =new, exciting music, (even if the band themselves aren't new, anything that's new to me), wrapping presents, reading books and taking photographs. frogs...honestly i'm normal! drawing pictures, and sticking things on my walls. kissing. the romantic poets and oscar wilde. finding someone who i can talk to the above about! my gorgeous friends, my old uni mates, and those other special people who make my world go round. That inexplicable high I get from watching live music.
Dislikes =people who think im crazy when actually, I just want to make everyone I know happy! spiders and general insects. Orange girls and everything that comes with that aspect of modern culture. Girls who pout in photographs!! People who come in drunk at half 2 in the morning and are purposely loud to wake everyone up. those who have no respect for other people. dirty, unhygenic people. People who think they are far better looking than they actually are. Big egos and hypochondriacs. People who can't follow through with something they've promised to do. My own inability to keep my room tidy. Worrying.
Things that make me REALLY happy =spending time with people i wouldn't expect to and having a really good laugh. seeing my friends, and watching others get slightly pissed. Getting hugs off people who hug well - none of this, oh, im just touching your shoulders lark. smiling at someone and them smiling back. helping someone out. seeing people ive made happy smile. listening to any feel good tunes. bill bailey, dylan moran, and most stand up comedy. meeting new people. that amazing feeling when i find a new song I love, and the crazy feelings i get when i hear said song again! Being able to fix a memory to a song so that if i wanna remember it in all it's vividness, all I gotta do is press play and I have it in my mind! being in love.
things that make me REALLY sad =missing my friends, fighting with my parents. finding out stuff that you knew would happen...but inside of you you hoped it wouldnt. when i dont see my close friends for long periods of time. the worst things in the world - when people are mad at me, angry at me, or people who i think the world of just...don't want to know.
