Starting out in Austin, Texas, Artopium's Roving Festival is the coming together of many new and unique artists featured on Artopium.com to perform and create art together. Witness live art being created by the artists on the spot while listening to some of the hottest new sounds performed by a myriad of up-and-coming local bands and musicians. Be prepared to see crazy new fashions designed by local fashion designers and many screenings of film shorts and trailers by local filmmakers. And all in one place!

Artopium is more than a gallery or online studio. Artopium aspires to be an all-inclusive index with an egalitarian approach to listing each artist. Artopium strives to help give a fair chance to unseen or unheard artists to display and sell their works to the global art and music markets. Artopium is a grass-roots organization of many people who are keen to work within local communities to bring local artists together, whether for events and mixed media shows, or to help collaborate on various projects.

To help start spreading the word, the owner and creator of Artopium.com, Michael Betthauser, ( personal Myspace page , couchsurfing.com page ) is beginning a bicycle tour of the U.S. and Europe. He will be stopping in every town possible (no matter how big or small), to play music , paint , and gather local artists for Artopium events.
