About Me

The Killing Floor is an innovative original band. Always striving to reinvent themselves through their music and performances. They are pure showmen wanting their audiences to feel the music not just hear it. Through memorable shows and charismatic personalities they charm their audiences every time! JCM- .....Miggs- .....Jack- .....Bam Bam- .....Darren-
Question: The men are cute! You have a flavor for every female! What flavor is each man's favorite? I happen to like dark chocolate with a swirl of caramel on top.
Answer: The guys don't play favorites. They like all flavors - with whip cream and a cherry on top!
Question: Where is this Mexican place the band meets after practices?
Answer: Batman has his bat cave...TKF has their Mexican restaurant...they'd kill me if I told!
Question: I stopped in briefly at the Smokehouse before I went out of town and I was impressed! The name scared me off some but I like the music! The men are attractive and after reading the fan site I saw they are friendly too. Would they mind a hug from a new admirer to their music?
Answer: The men are all friendly, easy to approach and total gentleman so go on up and give them a hug!
Question: I haven't gotten to check the band out live but they are HOT! I like the blond and my girlfriend likes the eye candy out front with his long locks! I need to take some time off work and check them out live!!! Sexy men and instruments get the juices flowing! Do they sign on body parts? Hot guys like that I"m sure have girlfriends but during their breaks would they consider a dance with an admirer? I live not too far from Broadway maybe I can take time off work and say HI.
Answer: WHAT - You haven't seen them live?!?!? Woman you are missing something special! They put on awesome shows! Do they sign on body parts - YES they will, but if there are minors present they'll ask you to go somewhere away from young eyes. Would they consider a dance - If there's some good grooves playing I doubt you'll be turned down!
Question: Where do you guys practice at? Do you let people come hang out?
Answer: It's a secret as to where. As for fans hanging out: if you can find out the special knock and survive the initiation they might just let you hang out some!
Question: The tunes are damn hot! How come you guys aren't playing out more?
Answer: The release of their CD is coming up fast and they're already working on new material. They don't want to perform just "okay" songs, they want to blow away their fans. Perfecting their sound takes up most of their time. Besides if they were out there saturating the club scene every single weekend there wouldn't be people wanting more! There has been too many bands overexposing themselves causing them not to be indemand for very long. That is not going to be the TKF!
Question: What is each guys favorite song out of the ones they do?
Answer: Miggs: It's Not Me and Mary Jane, Darren: All Of Me and a new Reggae Jam the guys are working on, Jack: Streets and Bam Bam: Devil's Alley. JCM could not pick a favorite. He said it was like asking him to pick which one of his children he loved the best.
Practice was productive but someone was missing - Bam Bam. He was home sick. The BAM was missed. The guys worked on a couple new songs. All For You and an intricate creation yet to be named. The guys were so busy working on the songs Darren didn't get picked on. JCM unveiled a final version of the soon to be released CD and the guys loved it! The bands labor of love that's been in the works too long just needs to be duplicated and put out there! Practice ran late because everyone was so into their work but it was well worth it. Practice was followed by munchies at their usual secret location.

Patriot Guard Rally:
Things got off to a slow start. Electric Ocean and SuperCrash were unable to play. TKF and Mindframe would be playing. The guys were barely warming up through a few songs when they had to stop for a raffle and a live auction. Darren was a little too animate with his hand waving and was mistaken for a bidder - the amount $120.00! Luckily someone bid higher! After a LOOOONG while the guys started up again. Everyone was a showman! Darren danced behind his keys, Bam Bam played like a man possessed, Jack went wild - even playing behind his back, Miggs laid down the law with his bass and JCM melted the place with his string heat! The crowd didn't want them to stop! I was walking around and people kept commenting on how great the band was. Mindframe had arrived but it was late so they decided to stay and watch TKF play. I have to say MindFrame showed what being true musicians and being professional is all about. They supported TKF - no jealousy, no egos.. no hating whatsoever. I wish more bands were like them! At the end of the night most of the older Vets had retired but the ones that were still hanging in there continued to have nothing but good things to say and were cheering until the very end.
It was an honor to be in the presence of so many brave men. Men who put down their very lives for us to have the freedom we do now. Thank you to Koyote Ranch for hosting the event. The place is something else - Cabins high up on the mountains, crystal clear water, tent camping, rustic camping, party room, bike-friendly, rv ready...the place truly is worth the long drive for!
