About Me

SLTM is; recordings leaning in on each other after being faultily put together; made of mostly borrowed instruments being exercised in the blissful ignorance of any musical knowledge whatsoever; ideas tested and doubted and tested again; worry/joy/despair/etc transfered into measured intervals of rhythm and frequency that line up most of the time &, when they do, attempt to communicate a particular experience as accurately as possible. These recordings are the sound of layers and layers of this and that on top of each other until it sounds like something; something that transfers my so-called emotions and thoughts into a medium for others to listen to/think about/discard and/or remember.

I play viola & violin (though somewhat poorly at points), guitar, accordion, piano, make-shift percussion, things laying around that make noises, faulty electronics running here & there, and even sing a little on these recordings.

Influences: gy!be, mt. zion, sandro perri / polmo polpo, nobuo uematsu, gorecki, dmst, jens, the books, richard d. james, cst records, panda bear, neutral milk hotel, burial, sigur ros, harris newman's work, the ponys (phantom buffalo), nemo, o.lamm reworking sutekh/vica versa, friends/family/memories/joy/loss/etc.
