Lovesong

Jennifer "Lovesong" Bostick was born April 29th, 1977 in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Oak Park High School in 1995, and then went on to further her education at Wayne State University where she obtained a B.A. degree in English on December 13, 2001. Lovesong discovered her love for music, and writing at a very early age. She practiced Piano for one year, at the age of six, and was a member of her elementary (Cortland Elementary-Highland Park, Mi) junior high (Roosevelt-Oak Park, Mi) and high school choir classes. In 2001, exactly one year after the birth of her son Anthony, she entered the Detroit underground music scene where she created a name for herself as "Lovesong." Lovesong has worked and shared the stage with various artists in the Detroit underground music community such as Amp Fiddler, The Gorilla Funk Mob and Ty Stone (Kid Rock's upcoming artist). She has provided her "dreamy" background vocals over some of Detroit's grittiest, yet soulful tunes for upcoming Detroit based MC's and other muscians such as: The Almighty Dreadnaughtz, The Fat Killahz, Obie Trice (unreleased), King Gordy, Neco Redd, Asylum 7, The Omen, Buff1 (Athletic Mic League), S.U.N. (unreleased), and Darlene and Sarah & co. (gospel group). Lovesong is finally working on her music career as a solo artist with Ypsilanti, and Ann Arbor producers The Lab Technicians, Tony Ozier (Beats Galore), FLOW (overseas production), Amp Fiddler, and many more. Aside from music, Lovesong was also an extra in the movie "8 Mile." She was also featured in the first issue of "Below Zero" hair magazine (inside cover, Cool-C 2004). Currently, Lovesong is apart of an artist collective by the name of Instinctive Movement. This eclectic group of six individuals combine photography, art, fashion, music, writing, and acting with the hopes of establishing a stronger fine art foundation throughout Detroit. Lastly, Lovesong is also modeling for upcoming designer O'neka (Cocoa Reveries Designs-Instinctive Movement) Lovesong also plans to launch her magazine, "Underground Circuit" which is based on the Detroit underground hip-hop culture, in the near future.
