Gareth J D initially started out as a classically trained violinist from the age of 7 playing his violin in solo and ensemble performances before a genuine fascination with electronic music saw him move into DJing at school discos playing all kinds of dance music from House and Garage to Techno and Drum & Bass.
The DJing soon began to take over with several gigs in Oxford and a weekly Radio show on local Oxford Radio station 107.9 FM, as well as gigs in Birmingham, Nottingham, London and Bristol with Gareth showing a consistant ability throughout to build a crowd up from deep spiritual house, into full-on jackin house and building up a strong reputation as a pioneering, crowd pleasing House DJ who knew how to entertain whilst also educating the crowd, playing future chart dance tracks several months before they saw the light of day.
This love of classical music combined with 10 years experience of DJing saw Gareth eventually move into music production and his classical training and DJ experience began to shine through in the creation of "Midnight Strings", a classical sampling track which has been championed by the likes of Judge Jules on BBC Radio 1 in the summer of 2005 as well as his first remix released on Tribal Vinyl Records UK.
2007 sees Gareth join forces with two top new house labels, Distorted Records and Elation Records respectively, two fresh new funky house labels commited to releasing uplifting quality dance music.
