About Me

Hello!

How ya doing!
If you want to know more about what I've been up to, each week I write a chunky blog detailing my movements. If you've not taken a look before, check it out and see what you think!
You can email me on any subject of your choosing - I respond personally to each correspondence received. Whilst this takes a heck of a lot of time, it's an invaluable source of feedback regarding my sets, and anything else for that matter. Let me know you saw me on myspace...

THE GLOBAL WARM-UP MIX
ITUNES |AMAZON
Sharing the same name as my national dance show on Sirius satellite radio, this cd contains 16 tracks of high powered dance music. In the last couple of months, I've played these tested tunes in the clubs around the world and mixed them together to capture what I do best! This cover shot was taken on Bondi Beach over the December holidays. I think you will like it and I look forward to hearing your feedback.
PROVEN WORLDWIDE
ITUNES |AMAZON
This is my first artist album as Judge Jules, all original material. This collection of tracks has been thoroughly road tested in over 40 countries in every continent, hence the title. Although I spend lots of time touring (taking over 200 flights per year) the studio is my day job. I constantly churn out new offerings for my dj sets, and only those tracks that have truly stood the test of time wherever in the world theyve been played are included in this collection. The first single, "So Special," features the beautiful voice of Marcella Woods.

Here's a little info about myself:

1. Could you tell us more about yourself, what did you want to be as a child, where do you live, in short some personal info.
I was born and raised in Crouch End, North London, where I still live now. Djing was always my ambition, although when I was young it wasnt a job that could ever have been a potential full-time career. Most djs back then did it part-time, so I always assumed Id have to do another job as well.
2. How and when did you started djing? Were you always interested in music? I started djing by promoting my own parties (legal and illegal) in the late eighties. In common with lots of other djs I was a vinyl fanatic, and djing seemed the only sane way to justify the amount of time and money I was devoting to the music cause.
3.What did you do to get your name out, get noticed and start playing at events? After 2-3 years of promoting my own events, which were generally very successful, lots of third party promoters started showing interest. Basically they wanted to tap into the crowd I was attracting. Soon after, I started on pirate radio and began doing my first remixes. Both of these factors contributed significantly to awareness of my name (which I guess is fairly easy to remember)
4. How do you prepare for a gig? Eg. do you have a certain ritual before you start playing? Most of the preparation is done in the days running up to a period of gigs. I do my own edits of every track I play, which familiarises me with new tunes in advance of playing them. Apart from that, where possible I try and sleep in advance of most gigs, as its always good to arrive fresh to the night ahead.

June 29, Well the summers here and nobodys complaining

Well the summer's here and nobody's complaining. Well actually, in the UK plenty of folk are. It's been the wettest June on record, which I guess keeps the Mediterranean resorts in business. For me th...

June 21, Ive lost a friend.

This week's report takes a detour from the regular format of describing what I did over a given 7 day period. At the risk of sounding too emotional, I've lost a friend. Maybe it's melodramatic to wax ...

I go to the US 5-6 times per year. Career-wise it would be better to hit the States more often, but I'm rationed in the amount of pre-recorded Radio 1 shows I can do, and R1's my number 1 priority. Wi...
