Dj Paul Richards career began in the late nineties at Plymouths premier late night club ‘The Sound Factory’. The Cornish born Dj was influenced by all the top House, Hard House & Trance Dj’s playing weekly at the Warehouse which at the time was the leading club in the South West. Following a few years on the local circuit Paul left for Ibiza with best friend and Djing partner Dj Prophecy aka Laney to sample life playing in San Antonio’s Club Xtasis, Breeze Bar and Café Mango. After Ibiza Paul chose to broaden his horizons turning his hand to a more funky style which was growing in popularity. Early one Saturday morning in 2004 tragedy struck when Paul collapsed after suffering a stroke at the age of 33. A strong spirit and gritty determination coupled with a love for music drove Paul on to making a full recovery and after six months he returned to playing. When in 2005 best friend Laney took over a bar in the centre of Plymouth it gave the pair the opportunity to have their own weekly Friday night bash which they enjoyed until 2007. Since then other business commitments have forced Paul to call time on a very enjoyable 10 years Djing but the love of music is still there and for sure the final chapter in his story is not written yet.On the player below are some live recordings taken from the last 10 years.Always keeping the vibe alive! ............................................................ .......................................................
