Soccer AM is every football fans idea of a perfect saturday morning. Lasting from 9-12 during the football season, that is 3 hours of television perfection. Shown on Sky Digikal (sky sports LoL) & hosted by the duo of Helen Chamberlain & Andy Goldstien. Soccer Am is coming up to it's 12 season on tv & this show never disappoints, A perfect blend of football, comedy & women. This is the way that millions of people throughout the u.k spend there Saturday morningSo what exactly makes the show so good? Well the main answer is the fact that the show is primarily about football, the sport of the nation. However, it looks at football in a slightly different way. Yes, they do show all of the best goals from the week from all four English top flight divisions, & europe, but the show is about so much more. They always have ‘fans of the week’ representing their team, with 8 supporters from a british football club come on & sit in the 'Luther Blisset Stand' to chant & talk about there team & they also have a go on the 'Road To Wembley Shootout'. They have footballers, sportmen/woman, various celebs & musicians sitting on the red sofa to talk about themselves & the beautiful game.But the football doesn’t stop there. They also have a very light-hearted look at football, They have the ‘Showboat’, this is shots of players producing great skills eg. ronaldinho working his magic on the pitch which is a treat to see football at its best. 'Taxi', a clip of a footballer doing something pretty naff (taxi for Brass last season was an all time classic) proof that they are human after all. Helen also gets her ‘Third Eyes’ out, This is usually a spot from one of the live games on Sky Sports of someone in the crowd doing something very amusing. & cant forget 'Crossbar Challenge' where one proffessional football team from the british divisions take part in a challenge where they have to hit the crossbar bang on from the halfway line. Other gags are: The Wreslters, Yorkshire News, Topless Weather with Sheephead, Stan Hibbert, Road To Wembley Shootout, Team Mates, Ten Yard Bucket Challenge, Cook Off, Phone Clips sent in by the viewers eg. Craaazy Dave & few more new gags get added to the show as the season goes on.. it's top notch entertainment.The script is written by producer/host Tim Lovejoy, & my word, he is a very funny man :) The Barry Proudfoot sketch is comedy gold, a cockney man getting into various mischief in his local pub.. 'it's a right touch', Benny Hill couldn’t do any better!! Throughout the show there are additional bits of humour that have your sides splitting. It is great to get such a mix of things coming from one show.& how can we forget the Soccerettes, Every week a hot woman comes onto the show and struts her stuff, bada bada bada bada... bing!!! Normally dressed in a tiny skirt & the shirt of the team they support, we see them strip to reveal an ‘show them thw whole thing’ t-shirt then they cat-walk alongside Lovejoy & 1 of the fans which the soccerette picks. Football, comedy & women you can’t beat it. So 'go on lad' get tuned in for the greatest soccer show on earth which has already kicked off!!
