About Me

A Brooklyn native, Jayson Abram is the President and Founder of TANTRA, the Brooklyn-based designing company. Abram has taken a progressive approach to his designs by creating sophisticated, contemporary apparel anchored by traditional ethnic influences. His current line of clothing was inspired by a variety of influences, including his collection of traditional masks, paintings AND Photography; and his background in fine arts. Jayson attributes his success to his brand's subtle design spirit.When Abram is not designing he's a well sought after Stylist and Photographer for an exclusive clientele.About E'treea Tropp - Abram: A Harlem native, E'treea is the Co-founder and Vice President of TANTRA. She attended Parsons School of design for textile and surface design; after completing her course of study she went on to work for a design studio as a textile designer for 7 years. E’treea is a self-taught fiber artist specializing in crochet, tie-dye and batik. A self-described fiber fanatic, E’treea expresses her passion for natural fibers and knitwear design through an exclusive collection of knit and crochet hats and scarves that feature luxurious fibers such as merino wool, cashmere, linen, cotton and silk. In addition to her accessories line, Tropp also designs a couture collection of one a kind garments that feature tie-dye, crochet, beading and embroidery. E’treea Tropp - Abram is an adjunct professor teaching knitting at Medgar Evers School of continuing education.Tantra - Expansion of the mind.
