My Interests

Music:

Band Website: soundsofsolace.com
Band Members: Solace is the brain child of writer/producer Jeremiah M. Soto. Jeremiah plays keyboards, middle eastern percussion, and does quite a bit of programming to get things rolling. Then he invites his friends to come over and play, resulting in a seemless blend of electronic and organic. On the road, Solace Live includes such musicians as Tim Rayborn on a multitude of strummed, plucked, and hammered stringed instruments, flutes and percussion, Ruben van Rompaey percussionist extraordinaire, and the incredible vocal talents of Kate St. Pierre when possible.
Influences: Cocteau Twins, Dead Can Dance, Lowlife, Sigur Ros, Mogwai, Blind Divine, Massive Attack, Portishead, Radiohead, Depeche Mode, The Cure, Siouxsie & The Banshees, Joy Division, New Order, Smashing Pumpkins, Missy Elliott, Kraftwerk, Radio Tarifa, Explosions In The Sky, Pieter Nooten, David Sylvian, Arvo Part, Cold, Wolfgang Press, Clan Of Xymox, Slowdive, Erkki Sven Tuur, The Smiths, Coldplay, This Mortal Coil, Bedhead, Bark Psychosis, Seam, Einsturzende Neubauten, Red House Painters, Low
Sounds Like: Reminiscent of Dead Can Dance, the Sounds of Solace traverse the world's soundscapes, blending styles, instruments, and electronics into soundtracks for the mind. Sometimes pensive with beautiful melodies, sometimes pumpin' with thundering percussion, Solace mirrors the hearts rhythms creating a silouette of emotion with each song.
