An internationally acclaimed multi-instrumentalist, Tim has been active in the fields of world and early music for 17 years.He plays more than 80 musical instruments from medieval Europe, the Middle East, the Balkans, and Central Asia, as well as western and modern instruments, such as guitar and piano. He has recorded to date on 25 CDs for a number of labels, including ASV/Gaudeamus, Wildboar, Osmosys, Magnatune, and Eventide Music Productions.Tim lived in the UK for seven years, where he studied for his Ph.D. at Leeds University (writing on the crusades). He has toured Europe and the U.S. extensively, given a number of performances for BBC, and worked with musicians in Marrakech and Istanbul.His current specialties are medieval music and traditional Middle Eastern music.In addition to his solo work, he currently plays with
