Armine Mardirosian's Concert The Inaugural Concert in the USA which took place on the 16th of September 2007at the Glendale High School Auditorium.
A Record Sell out Crowd to an audience who had not seen her for over 25 years and some who had not heard of her before!!!
From the first moment Armine graced the stage she was greeted with screaming fans chanting 'we love you"!
Armine's fans had been true to her for over 25 years and the new spectators were blown away with her voice, style and flexibility of vocals.
Armine sang Armenian pop, folk, traditional.also Persian ,Arabic and different international langueages, She danced, entertained and sang.
She made the audience dance in their concert chairs, laugh with her songs and cry with their souls.
Only a true artist has the ability to move one's emotions from one extreme to another. The pictures speak for themselves... the flowers did not stop being sent to stage.
If one keeps their eye on the Grand Piano one can observe the progression and build up of the grand floral arrangements building up and taking over the piano and the stage.
She was accompanied by a professional band consisting of eight members, conducted by the very talented and exceptional maestro: Roma Kanyan.
The audience did not want to leave! When the final curtain dropped they wanted her to return to stage and continue to sing, it was as though she had never been away from the people
A 10 minute standing ovation set the bar in America's Armenian concert history where a concert was conducted with nothing but the artistic demonstration of a voice ...THE SINGER...
ARMINE
There was no need for back up singers, dancers and any other show tactics as her voice was enough to capture the imagination of the audience . Supported by the band, there were times when Armine was only accompanied by the piano. The song arrangements were diverse in style with a few added surprises. Armine was accompanied by her brother Nejdeh, who sang with her two songs. The first duet was an artistic folkeloric song whilst the other was a beautiful operatic duet.
The performance was beyond the imagination of the audience who, if given the opportunity, would have asked for a repeat of the whole nights program!
This is the first of many successful concerts we are yet to see from Armine. Her unique style, voice and performance has been the talk of LA as they anticipate for her return. Many have mentioned that in 30 years of musical concerts in the USA, Armine's concert was unique! It was described by some as a "fairy tale"...."perfect and natural"..."just beautiful"..."magic". She did not resemble any other performer and was unique and professional in her own right.______________________________________________________
