About Me

Infinien combines eclectic and seemingly disparate musical personalities into a visionary, unified sound. Each artist in the band brings different levels of experience from varied backgrounds; as such their sound is not marginalized by genre constraints. The band’s aesthetic comes together like puzzle pieces, each member realizing the possibilities of extending beyond a practical view of music and establishing a personal connection with it. Infinien mixes many different musical styles together, taking influences from rock, classical, jazz, world, and many others. The band uses these eclectic influences to bring the listener on a musical adventure evocative of specific times and places. This is achieved through the use of uncommon harmonies and chord progressions in conjunction with vivid, colorful melodies, changing odd meter times, unusual scales, and hard hitting deep grooves. Chrissie Loftus’ strong, beautifully fluid voice floats within the music and adds a strong emotional element through heart felt lyrics and poetry. Infinien’s music has often been compared to such diverse artists as Bjork, Radiohead, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Pink Floyd and Tool.
Over the last year, Infinien has been playing at venues all around Philadelphia including the Khyber, Tin Angel, World Cafe Live, The Trocadero, The Fire, the Millcreek Tavern, and many others. Over the next year Infinien are eager to tour the east coast and play music festivals in the summer around the country. With a new album out, "How To Accept", and a burgeoning fanbase and buzz, Infinien is one of the most exciting and fresh new acts in the Philadelphia music scene.
