About Me

Wrote a bio on my site, go read that if you're really bored: http://www.mobiusbandwidth.com/sg-bass.html
This is my band's page on here, at last, go add us won't you?

About the recordings here: Conviction is from my old band M3's debut CD, Bob Melpignano on guitar, Greg Mag on drums, me on bass. Stay alive is from the same disc, I play Mandolin on this one as well as (6 string) bass.
I don't have any Stick recordings posted here yet, you can hear one on my bands page, and more on my site's Stick page. (Click the Stick!)
I'll add more later.

please enjoy this video by Japan, featuring Mick Karn, one of my favourite bassists.

Sounds Like: Depends what instrument I'm playing (I play around a dozen). some people compare my bass playing to Les Claypool, but he was not an influence, we share influences. I admire him plenty tho. I really mush together the influence of my favourite players, Brian Fox (my bass mentor), Stanley and Jaco (my dads), and Mick Karn, along with non bassists, guitarists, the whole band that played on Alice Cooper's "Killer' album, an early influence on my approach to melodicism, Stuart Adamson's Celtic tinge, Johnny Marr's boldness, Brian May's classical bombast and delicacy, much as I like filling every hemi-semi-demi quaver with flashy hammer-ons and slapped and popped notes on the bass, I can also really appreciate wide open spaces, and long slow held notes. (sounds romantic. heh.) Basically I play weird funk-rock, or weird folk stuff. and some new wave-ambient this'n'that. er. the odd film score as well.
