TRACEY CHANTEL started performing (singing) at the age of 7 yrs old, singing with groups in elementary & junior high schools. She was part of the Hank Carter's Wheelchair Classics annual Talent Shows where she performed with a singing group. She was part of the UJAMMA Dance Theater where she acted and danced in the "HARLEM RENIASSANCE" Production produced by TITUS WALKER etc. In 1991 she formed a singing group MYSTIC, this group consist of three FINE ladies that included her. The group performed original songs produced by the late Walter Grimes (Bubba)at various events for the New York's legendary DJ Mr. REGGIE WELLS of 98.7 K.I.S.S. FM. They also performed at prestigious venues i.e.; the former SWEETWATERS Nightclub, The Apollo, Loews Hotel in New York City to name just a few. After the group went their seperate ways after 10 years together TRACEY CHANTEL produced & managed a dance group she name JazMoHip. This dance group dance skillz covered Jazz, Modern and Hip Hop. They won the No.1 spot in a variety of dance competitions. She enjoyed what she was doing so much she decided to extend her passion for uplifting aspiring Artists citywide. That's when she launched & produced her Educational/Entertainment Youth Awareness Production in 1995, then called Wind Beneath Their Wings and renamed it to Village of Inspired People (V.I.P.) Productions. Her production provided a forum for new & upcoming artists through out the metropolitan area to come out and compete as well as get the recognition for their artistic talents. At this annual event people from the entertainment industry came out & showed their support by acting as Guest Judges, Guest Speakers and Performers. Just to name a few, some of her supporters consisted of, Grand Puba, DJ RED ALERT of 98.7 K.I.S.S. F.M. (who was honored for his continuance support), Baby Sham from Busta Rymes "FLIP MODE SQUAD, Goo of GOO MUSIC PRODUCTIONS, Russell Simmons, Phatfarm, Warners Bros., Loud Records, MCA Records, Kevin Liles of Def Jam Records, Hank Carter (Founder of the Wheelchair Classics), 98.7 K.I.S.S. FM, WBLS F.M., Shawn Waters C.E.O/Producer of HOT2DEF Ent and former member of FORCE MD, SGIB Magazine & VIBE Magazine and that's just to name a few. She had the opportunity of working with a large variety of Producers & Artists, i.e.; Michael Grier from SLAVE, the AHLEEM BROS., RUN DMC, CAMEO, CULT JAM and several NEW & UPCOMING ARTISTS to LOOK OUT for, AYANNA, JEFFREY SPENCE & CARIZ, that's just to name a few.
