Straight from the 80’s Dakira Ave is a new school group coupled with old soul and feel good partying music. Danika, Rachelle and Kim gained their love of music at an early age; little did anyone know that these three little girls listening to music on the floor, were Divas in training. Dakira Ave are three hip, trend-setting and stunning young ladies whose passion for music will translate into an exhilarating ride. Danika Silencieux and Kim Williams grew up in Montclair, NJ. As the years passed the girls grew apart and moved away from each other but, as fate would have it, they were reunited in West Orange, NJ where they met up with West Orange native Rachelle Homere and would form Dakira Ave. Calling West Orange their hometown (WO TOWN), they are not your ordinary teenage girl group; they have remarkable talent and natural singing ability. What sets them apart even more is their ability to be the girls next door. Once you hear these young songbirds, you too will fall in love. What is Dakira Ave? It’s the hot spot, the place you want to be. Rachelle said, When I was little I used to imitate every dance move TLC would do, and Kim adds, TLC was influential with their risky approach on social issues through music. Although inspired by super sexy icons in the industry, they maintain an image that, Keeps you looking but still leaves something to the imagination. They credit their down to earth approach to their up-bringing. After years of preparation and coaching Dakira Ave is ready to debut their first single "Tick Kaboom." This song is sure to be a club and radio classic, with it’s fast rhythms and catchy hook. Risky, intuitive and uncompromising are synonymous with their style of music.
