Growing up in Fort Worth, Texas in a tight-knit family, Kendyl's natural music ability was first realized when she entered herself into a 4th grade talent show. Her parents did not know how she would do onstage in front of a live audience, but decided to let her see for herself if she enjoyed it or not.Much to her parent's surprise, Kendyl blossomed under the spotlight. She went on to perform in every talent show she could find year after year. Upon entering junior high school, Kendyl auditioned and landed the lead female role in "Little Shop of Horrors". During her last year of junior high, she auditioned and secured the lead female role in "The Sound Of Music".
While performing at a local charity event in 2005, Kendyl was noticed by a local talent agency that approached her to record a song originally seen on ABC's General Hospital. She has since recorded a two-song Demo Cd and is currently back in the studio recording new material. In June of 2007, Kendyl and record producer Frederick Baugher, of San Francisco, California, reached an agreement to develop her music career within the pop music industry. For more than three years, Kendyl has nurtured her passion for singing by continuing to learn and grow through vocal training, studying with several different professionals in all genres of music. Kendyl remembers, "In the third grade my teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up and I said a famous singer. Thats all I can ever remember wanting to be".
