About Me

I have been creating art since I can remember. As a kid I lived in a fantasy world with the dream that I would be a famous fashion designer, using the clothing I designed on my pink, plastic design template. I treated art as play time and became very imaginative. This was when I began to process life in terms of pictures and color. As time went on, art just grew with me and became part of who I am. It has played a major role in my life and it has helped guide me through life. Intense feelings keep my art going: betrayal, hurt, jealousy, love, and feeling like you’re on top of the world. My felt creatures are my newest project; they started as an experiment and are always growing. My characters give off an idealized innocence with a glimpse of wisdom in their button eyes. I am always recalling many moments from my childhood and life experiences and pulling them into my art. I am influenced by everything around me and all my crayon doodles as a child were the first insights into this. It is my younger brother and sister who really inspire me. Being able to watch their artwork progress as they grow makes me want to create something they would enjoy and be inspired by. My aesthetic is rooted in the simple shapes and block structure of comic strips. I have always been interested in pop art, traditional tattoos and cartoons.I currently reside in Portsmouth, NH. I graduated from Chester College of New England in 2005, traveled to Ireland in 2004 to the Burren College of Art in Ballyvaughn and was recently published in Scratch magazine.lyt by avlaysavlaysExtended Network Banner made with MyBannerMaker.com! I'd like to meet:

I'm a really private person and am a really awkward anti-social wallflower. I would like to met anyone who can strike up a conversation with me while keeping my interest.
