About Me

About Sarah
My name is Sarah and I live in Connecticut's beautiful, serene Northeast corner in our state's smallest town, Union - population: 743. My home is settled amongst state parklands, surrounded by dense forest and several bodies of cool refreshing water - most of which have lily pads the size of my head. There are the glorious sounds of songbirds throughout the day and the deep lull of peepfrogs at night. I'm married to my best friend, have (2) rambunctious pooches who never fail to teach me the virtue of patience on a daily basis, and I recently qualified for lower car insurance costs by turning the big 3-0. Yay! I am a self-proclaimed granola stalker, tree-huggin' dirt worshipper who is down-to-earth yet responsible. I'm the eldest of (4) kids, have (2) lovely tattoos (if I do say so myself!), eat organic foods as much as possible, love and support art in all its forms, my talents include, but are not limited to: drawing a cursive-S duck and point-and-click nature photography. I work part-time as an Alpaca farmhand for fun (Mom wanted me to get a college degree so I wouldn't have to shovel poop for a living and that's exactly what I'm choosing to do!), and last but certainly not least, I donated my 10-inch ponytail to Locks Of Love, & dyed my hair pink...just because I can.

Eco-Friendly * Socially-Conscious * Responsible
In order to do my part as a concerned citizen for the well-being of our planet, I established Moondrop Clothiers in 2003 with just about a dollar in my pocket, an overstuffed closet, and the firm belief that one person CAN make a difference. Its mission is to help people feel and look beautiful, be comfortable, and remain stylish while supporting and sustaining Mother Earth at the same time. My earth-conscious shopping boutique features Recycled, Gently-Worn, Handmade, and Brand-New Clothing/Accessories, Sterling Silver and Gold Artisan Jewelry, Home Decor, Books, Vegan Skin Care, Sustainable Market Bags, Soy Candles & Incense, Organic Hemp Products, plus FAIR TRADE IMPORTS where each purchase supports low-income artisans and their families.

Organic Style * All Natural Goods
The Conscious Child is a small division of Moondrop Clothiers, that give parents an affordable alternative to high-priced organic baby and toddler clothing. Its mission is to make it easier for all families to have access to quality natural clothes and other non-toxic products. This website carries Gently- Loved & Brand-New Organic Baby & Toddler Clothing, All Natural Toys, Art Supplies, Bath & Bedtime Goodies, Feeding & Nursing Items, Vegan Mama & Baby Skin Care, Sustainable Market Bags, Family-Friendly Books & Music, Bath and Bedtime Goodies, Parenting Advice, Non-Toxic Cleaning Tips, and Healthy Recipes.

As much as I would like folks to peruse Moondrop Clothiers since there is a lack of eco-friendly shops out there and it's important to support small business with great ethics (so they can stick around), my space is really a reflection of me, my ideals, and most of all, my love for art, music, and independent film (which of course is also an artform!). There are SO MANY really cool musicians, filmmakers, and artists out there, that it is almost impossible to pick a select few for my profile. With that said, I try to mix things up a bit, so there will be something new on my page each time you visit. I hope you enjoy being here as much as I enjoy creating it. And if you do end up supporting Moondrop, THANK YOU for that, too. Namaste & peace
