The birth of defect notice as it stands today was about 4 years ago in drummer seth's bed room in perth W.A were seth and front man Matt would drop the market value of the neighborhood by jamming after work most days, about 3 years ago lachlan joined in with his own style which complemented our playing and the band was formed. Six months before our first gig we got long time friend Rhett to play bass for us.The sound of defect notice is energetic heavy metal mixed with a dash of humour and our influences include Strapping Young Lad, System of a Down, Pantera, Slayer, Slipknot, Deicide, Sepultura, Death, Static X, Meshuggah, In flames, Macabre, Lamb of god, Soulfly and many of the bands we play with. Life's a joke so laugh at it and enjoy it any way you can, for us we play music.
