Progressive metal that BURNS!!!!

About Me

Three Piece metal band with electronica (i-tox). Elements of traditional and progressive metal, along with Rob, Saxon n Chad's love for dissonant harmony and displaced grooves. UTI's sound is made distinct through its angular riffage and harmony as well as its honest organic tone. UTI also manages to avoid cliche metal topics such as religion, death, gore, instead aims to evolve musically and is an attempt to break current musical conventions. Overall Saxon & Rob as a writing duo aim to adopt the attitudes, ideals & principals of their heroes Walter Brecker and Donald Faegan of the great "Steely Dan". Hopefully this writing duo will also be able to employ session musicians one day to have access to the same palette of musical diversity "Steely Dan" became synonymous for during the pinnacle of their career. Thus delivering the all encompassing vision that is "Under the Influence".
"No image, No Gimmicks, just pure "heavy fucking metal", played by musos for musos!!!"
"Too many guitarists cut corners on vocals and lyrics in the shred arena, but UTI have proven themselves to be the full package - Technical, original & Innovative." - Australian Guitar Magazine
"The members of UTI obviously have some chops and thankfully appear to have listened to more than one type of music in assembling their musical influences. At times the music reminds of early Meshuggah and some of Fredrik Thordendal’s Special Defects work." - The Metal Forge
