Jamila (19), Deina (18) and Sophia (17) indulge angelic voices mixing flavors of soul, pop & r&b gives you Anysia. The sisters are a mix of Greek and Jamaican.They Formed a group at the ages of 12,11 and 10. Having grown up with the experience of the music industry and working with different companies has helped Anysia to grow! The name Anysia is a Greek word which means complete! The group name was perfect for the girls as they truly believe that they were born a group. "No band members can leave because their irreplaceable, it just wouldn't make sense as where a sister group, where incomplete without each other" says Jamila.These girls, long before they formed a group individually loved to sing, they were inspired by Micheal Jackson & Mariah Carey. Their parents were fans of Motown classics. "We grew up listening to Motown Classics" says Deina "Yeah we absolutely loved the Stylistics and Bee Gees" Says Jamila. When the sisters formed a group they told their parents that they wanted to be a singing group. Their parents recognized their talent and ever since then they've been behind the girls 100% supporting and managing them. A few years later the girls blossom into a fresh, united, fun, talented girl group. Anysia remains unsigned but have been offered a few contracts over the years. "Our parents take care of our contracts" says Sophia. They received their first contract at the ages of 13,12 and 11. Anysia was first discovered by a manager Jackie Davidson and songwriter Wayne Hector. After hearing the girls sing they wanted to sign them. The sisters then had their first taste of studio time and were told by producers how professional they were. " It was hard balancing our music career with school, but our parents made sure our education came first" says Jamila.Anysia moved on, working with a numerous of people involved in the music business... Oliver Smallman (manager) and co worker Trenton at Evolve records, Paul Kennedy A&R at Big Life records, George Roberts A&R at Sony Records, Samantha J Powell (Artist/Songwriter/ Vocal Coach/Producer at Volcano records. Samantha vocal coached the girls and produced Anysia's first album, which contains the three songs 'Wanna fall in love', 'Feel so good' and 'You don't have to worry'. At this point the girls were itching to get their songs heard. Anysia did a few gigs performing 'Feel so good'. "We had a positive vibe from the audiences! "we love performing and just have fun with it" says Sophia. Anysia didn't move forward with Volcano records for contract reasons! Anysia has made appearances on the X Factor show. The girls had a vocal coach Audrey Beharie who teaches students at Vocal Zones, to prepared them vocally for the X Factor boot-camp. They made it to the last day of boot-camp but didn't get through. "We have a passion for music and work twice as hard because we love what we do" says Jamila.
