About The Rakka:
The Rakka is one of two members of the infamous Case Closed from the West Midlands UK. The brothers have been making music together for six years, and Case Closed was formed in 2003, after the two members split from former click The Chosen Crew due to creative differences.
The Rakka started MC'eeing when he was fifteen but didn't take him self seriously untill friends told him to be more persistent, seeing talent in the young MC. He quickly began to earn the respect of others by writing origional beats and heavy lyrics.
His first performances at local Jungle nights triggered a positive reaction among the ravers, who untill then had heard only bedroom style MC'eeing and karioke versions of famous MC's.
His talents stretch beyond Rapping: He has studied Music Technology and learned how to sequence and arrange music, which is his favourite activity outside Rapping. He's also a hot producer and likes to make Garage and Raggaeton beats as well as Hip Hop. He also plays the Drums and has been in some heavy bands in the past. He has had the positive experience of playing in Bands, and has the edge on creating realistic drum patterns, but he is also intent on making shockwaves in the Rap game.
He had performed at Garage Nation and MC'd to Nicky Black Market before his Seventeenth birthday. His talents have taken him across the border to the south of France to perform to some of Frances finest D & B DJ's. He is currently working on the Case Closed album with Vision A, which will be released early next year. His rimes get him a lively response from the crowed, and he loves to throw some accapella at them to prove they are a cut above the rest. The young artist is dedicated to success and certainly has the talent to obtain it. So listen out for this Cypriot Psycho.
About The Band:
Case Closed were the first British Cypriot MC's to sell over 5000 copies of their CD on the streets of the UK, with help from felow artist HU$ (who features on Crabs In A Bucket), and take their music to a global scale by themselves, selling copies of the demo across the Mediterranean from Nice in the South of France, to Kavos, Corfu, and Agia Napa, Cyprus, creating fans from America and Australia on the way.
The musicians have a unique style which is influenced by their Mediterranean roots, and they rap in their Greek Cypriot language as well. Their style mainly consists of Hip Hop tempos and pure UK Garage and Grime sounding beats, with meaningful lyrics about the state of the world, and the ability to show they mean business when it comes to burning mics with their original rythmic flows. Crabs In A Bucket is an example of the daily life that they, and thousands of others in the UK live. They have their own views, and they sure aint afraid to voice them. (So if your a punk ass bitch hater MC then your already in their line of fire.)
Among other successes, Case Closed have managed to get their CD into the hands of DJ Principle, The Game who promised to shout them out in various interviews in the US, even the model Leilani has a copy of the album! Vision A has featured on an official remix of 21 Seconds by So Solid Crew, which received airplay on BBC Radio 1, and has obliterated other rappers in battles on 1FM and 1Xtra, as well as in person at Battlescars and The Jump Off.
They recently opend up for Skinnyman at the Drop Beats Not Bombs festival at Birminghams Medicine Bar.
