I started writing songs and singing at the age of 12. My idol is the legendary Michael Jackson. I used to do talent shows and dance to his music in front of the whole yr :) and I would get standing ovations with a hammering applause. and yes !I do have the footage and nooo your not gonna see ;) ).I still love his music today :) (he's a egend!!)
My song 'It is here' was written for a Radio competition (SGR Fm) with a school chum called Robert Markham, he wrote the track and I tried to sing it in my litte teeny squeeky little voice :) and ever since then I was hooked.(just wanted to be like MJ..a mega star) soon after MY mum and me put together some money for my 1st keyboard..and ever since i got bigger and better keyboards..to produce the sound Of "Robbie B" as you hear me today :)
After 12 years of writing songs (I have a backlog of over 500 written on paper) I compiled My first Home Studio album called 'Emotions' (2006), a mix of catchy pop tunes and infectious r'n'b beats. Introducing G MoonWalker on Far Away (my best buddy and close friend)
I then followed it up with an even fresher, funkier sound called 'Vision' (2006) My 2nd Home Studio Album. having been overwhelmed with advance orders after the success of the "Emotions" debut offering. There is was stopping me :)
Then came Trilogy in early stages of 2007..My 3rd Home Studio Album. The Third Installment...and what a good little album it is to :)...This is Where I Introduce My Band "The B Squad" to. G MoonWalker, Tony B and Carly B, A Band of friends coming together to create somthing very special.This Album makes you feel like you wanna put it on b4 you go out clubbing etc.. This is such an easy Listening piece of Music. Great Funky Tunes..and then the classic "Cow Bell" is bought back to give you that 70's Feel :) if you like MJ's "Off The Wall" Album..you will then love this :)
August the 17th 2007 I released my 4th Home Studio Album titled "Fanology" 19 Tracks over 75 mins of Music. Dueting with G MoonWalker, Andre, Lady Clue (Fan On MySpace) and my band "The B Squad" again :). This Album takes me back to my roots of "Emotions"...I promise you its the kind of album that has all sorts of Musical styles from one... to the other :)...The Title track says it all ..an album for the fans :) which you do mean so much to me..so much xox
in 2007 I Became the 1st Ever Unsigned Artist from "Ipswich" UK to have my music on Itunes, Napster, Rhapsody, Sony Connect, EMusic. :) ok its where I live..but its a start :) (theres so many wannabes here ;) )
My 5th Home Studio Album was was completed in early January 2008. The Concept of this Project was simple :).. I love 1980's music, I was born in this yr, I Love everything about the 80's, music, lifestyle, hair , clothes, films etc..lol..so its based around this period..with "Trilogy" it was late 70's.. I give you Home Studio 5 Album "1980" Released On April 10th 2008 Another 19 songs with 78 mins worth of Musical genre. More voices, more Sexual impact, more me...More B Squad. and introducing Filf Camp (Myspace Rapper) Heidi (My cousin) Andre (hes so cool !)Nathen (dj chanze) and Carly B. Carly Also does a brillient Remix of "1980" you will have to find it somewhere on the album, and some moans and groans from some sexy myspace fans ;)..The New Album is Explicit cause of 2 New Robbie B songs.."Naughty ft The B Squad" and "Dont Stop". These songs are about....the things id like to do an so with my partner ;). Don't Stop has to be the Naughtiest song EVER written!!!
Every Album I kick it up a notch, I try and create somthing different. I want it to be the best Album in the world :) I Have been through such a lot,while making "1980" thats why the songs I write are very personal...and they mean so much to me.
I spent recently re-doing all the Artwork for all my albums as well. Thank god it will never have to be done again by me lol...it really does take ages :) eventually they all will be produced professionally..which i cant wait to see :)
My aim in life is to be signed, sealed and deliverd, I have the passion, the love, the songs, I'm no one hit wonder, I'm no pub singer like others, if you become a fan, I will love you forever, if there's any one who represents the Entertanments, media, and they like what they hear, please do get back to me :) lets bring something good in to the world of music cause i think there is a big gap at the moment for someone to rise above the rest!! :)
Recently I Contacted a Publishing firm, they offerd me a deal so I went to a few Musical peeps who I do know, but they said to me, its not a good offer!. So I Declined. But while talking to one of the Musical peeps called Jonny S The Producer From The Hit-Factory, he said to me he'd help me produce Quality Tracks that can be worthy of Radio and Night-Club play. The 1st Project we worked on Was 1980, an amazing responce bringin in new fans plus gaining great responce from my old fans :). The Second Project was "You Got Me Working" but this changed to "You Got Me Thinkin". At 6.30pm on 16th May it was given away 3 for 24 hrs! and it had over 450 downloads :) in 24hrs. of which to me is absolutly brillient. At the moment I'm working with The Hit-Factory on the 3rd project "Can't Stop Thinkin Of You" all I Can tell you is its going to be a worldwide song where everyone can connect to this little 3 min lil beauty :). The theme of this project is 1980 music brought into 2008, now with this style and at this moment of time I am the only artist doing so! that makes me different. Bring classic songs back to the dancefloor. Just Dance and let the good times roll!!
