The uber talented production/DJ outfit, Masterbuilders, have joined forces with one of the hottest vocalists of now, Steve Edwards, (who in 2006 made his long overdue mainstream debut in the UK at number 9 in the chart as the co-writer and singer on Bob Sinclars World Hold On) to bring you a slice of stellar soulful dancefloor heat, in the shape of their new single entitled "Man Cannot Rise". This hefty package features 7 mixes, including 3 fantastic house offerings covering disco, dirty and deep, along with a super fat broken remix from Mark Force (Bugz In The Attic) and the accapella. Leaving no stone (or brick!) unturned, these boys are set to rock the foundations of clubland with this floorfiller!

Masterbuilders was conceived in 1995 by Patrick Howell and Justin Stride, later joined by Justin's partner in Southern Divide, Liam Dart
Today Patrick remains the central member, together with a choice selection of producers / musicians. The most regular co-contributor is still Liam Dart, but many other producers and musicians are brought in, including Mike Alexander, (vocalist for Blend), MX (Vocalist), Tim Scott (UK), Ishfaq (Croatia), Shahrooz (currently having great success with Hell Yeah aka Definitive Swing), Rob Gordon (of Unique 3 and Forgemasters fame), DJ Theory (producer - currently killing it in the D&B arena around the world)
Patrick also owns and runs ID Radio, an underground dance station, which broadcast live in the East Midlands from 2002-2005 and can now be found broadcasting on www.masterbuildersrecordings.com/idfm.php
He first began writing whilst running a hip-hop/R&B sound system (Icelove) in the late 80¹s. The first song Patrick penned, The Night that I Cried was co-produced by Sure is Pure/Blue Boy (Remember Me) and was quickly signed to Formation (1995) and Teenage Escapades (also on Formation) soon followed (96), this time co-produced by Parrot and Robin who went on to achieve fame respectively with Lady Cop and Olive. Since then he has gone on to produce a hip-hop/R&B track Baby Sincere (Virgin, 2001) and other releases including What Can We Do? (Progress, 97), an album compilation track Mash & Brush Brush on PIAS, and the self-distributed Everything Is Alright (Original Mixes) both in 2002
It is quite ironic that the track Masterbuilders are most known for, Blend, has not yet made it to release. It was signed to Soulfuric in April 2003 but despite huge critical acclaim and appearances on the WMC sampler 2 years running, a release date has not yet been assigned. In the meantime Masterbuilders have rarely been out of the playlists and charts of the pivotal players for the last 12 months. A 4 track EP Let Em Ave It entered the DJ Hype Charts at No 7 whilst still on CDR
The EP was swiftly followed by promos released on limited edition to great acclaim, Romance Is Dead (featuring Masterbuilders regular vocalist MX), Tony's Groove and most recently, the second track in the Blend trilogy entitled Showbiz. And as they continue to gather some serious momentum, Masterbuilders are currently working on their debut album, which is set to showcase their ability to genre cross from house to nu-jazz to liquid funk and electronica
In addition to this they are in the process of setting up an 8 piece live band as well as putting the final dates together of a DJ tour
