Bursting onto the scene in 2006 amidst a flurry of excitement and hype, Sharooz's whirlwind debut 'Hell Yeah' became one of the club records of that year, winning the support of the world’s biggest DJs: Roger Sanchez aired it at his exclusive Release Yourself party at Space Miami, David Guetta played it to 20,000 people at Sensation White, DJ Dan spun it live on his Essential Mix at the Ultra Festival in Miami, Pacha Ibiza resident Richard Grey put it on his eponymous Ministry album, Max Graham caned it, XFM lauded it, Capital FM plauded it, Galaxy FM mashed it up and DMC placed it at no.2 in their Buzz and Cool Cuts Chart. Played numerous times on Radio 1 by Judge Jules and Pete Tong, it appearing on a number of compilations in Germany, France, Spain, Russia, Japan and of course the UK, including Ministry of Sound’s Mash-Up 2007, debuting at no.2 in the UK compilation charts and selling over 60,000 units.
In June 2006, follow-up 'Masterblaster' was snapped up by Milk & Sugar’s Rotor Recordings and later licensed to US label Fortune Music with remixes from Mike Balance and Bryan Cox. Capitalising on this success, Sharooz completed a brace of remixes for a diverse range of labels such as Record Makers, Oxyd, Justsoul and Mofo Hifi. In Jan 2007 Sharooz released the dancefloor devastating 12" ’The Worm’ on Royal Flush. During this time his DJ profile began to rise, performing at world class venues such as Space in Ibiza and Turnmills in London, appearing alongside such luminaries as Pete Tong, Marshall Jefferson and even Shaun Ryder. With the release of much-vaunted 4th single 'The Knock' also on Rotor Recordings, the gig offers increased with shows as far afield as Serbia, Russia, Sweden, USA and France. Sharooz rounded off 2007 with potent floorfiller ’My Distressor’ on Mofo Hifi - garnering the support of Mason, DJ Dan, The Scumfrog, Galaxy and Kiss FM.
2008 has already been a busy year with Sharooz receiving the prestigious Remix Magazine Product of the Year award for his production of the Sample Magic sample collection ’Electro-House’ and his remix of Dave Aude’s updated classic ’Push That Thing’, peaking at no.41 in the Beatport charts. In March there was a remix of Kid Massive's 'The Way' on Caballero Records followed closely by a rework of Italian breaks wizz Phonat's 'Ghetto Burnin' on Mofo Hifi. May sees the release of latest track ’Sextitude’ on DJ Dan’s Instereo imprint with remixes from the hotly tipped Ed Kane and the effervescent Phonat. Already awarded Kiss FM's 'One For The Weekend', DJ support comes from Malente, Frew, Will Bailey and The Young Punx. June sees Sharooz's first foray into major label remix territory with a big-room dub of Craig David's 'Hot Stuff' on Warner Brothers and a pounding techno infused remix of Angel Alanis's 'Too Bad So Sad' for DJ Denise's hot San Franciscan label Mizuno Music..
