The Casa Loca Crew first teamed up back in 2004 when a certain Swedish Mexican packed his bags for the Big Smoke and moved into North London's infamous Casa Loca together with vinyl addict G, just around the corner from the trio's musical backbone The Longman. Within a year Casa Loca had hosted 2 'multi arena' parties with guest DJs from London's Ruud Awakening FM and BRB Soho's very own percussion maestro Juan as well as a few noise complaints. Three live mixes (Loca Sessions Pt 1, 2 and 3) and several compilations from the sacred Casa Loca vaults followed. At present The Longman is fine tuning several studio releases and remixes along the broken beat/nu jazz tip (click on Masterbuilders or the man himself below!). G is trying his hand at some laptop productions (click on the 'Casa Loca Music' page below in friends)and Orlando 'The O' Herrera is no doubt doing some serious damage with a paintbrush in downtown Stockholm. Plenty of reunions planned in the 008 though so keep it loco and keep it locked!...............................................Still remember the first time when.. I heard that sound for the first time then. Sweet piano keys on a tip.. Bass rolls in with a funky kick. Vocals then were a sweet sensation.. A formula for future innovation. Yeah we gotta move on, never stuck in the past.. But don't forget what made the scene last. The hardcore ways, the oldskool days.. Roots of the breaks, not just a passin phase.
