About Me

WCCA is membership driven. Membership participation plays an important role in sustaining WCCA’s financial capacity to provide the high level of services to meet the growing community demand for public access community media.
There are various categories of submission. If you are interested in producing a community program, or have a program cable ready, and are interested in presenting it on our channel, please refer to our membership applications on the wccatv.com website.
We have a number of cultural and music programs. You may find out more about such programs also by visiting wccatv.com
WCCA facilitates a great music program Video Jam. Seen nation wide, Video Jam is intended to entertain, while raising awareness about musical performances in our geographical area, introduce new artist, celebrate Worcester’s local music scene and more.
"Video Jam" does accept unsolicited submissions for consideration. Regarding video tape submissions for WCCA's Video Jam Music Show: WCCA accepts for review submissions that are copy written, SVHS Video format or DVD. Submission must include a letter of interest (including your contact information, copy written material (video), and a statement of release to WCCA TV. WCCA TV is about ready to launch a new music program that will feature live music groups. Please email me at: [email protected] . Leave your contact information and band bio, links, etc. Your band may be selected to participate in an exciting band competition for a chance to win cool prizes and more. We will be announcing shot dates which are slated for late April. There is still room for underwriters, in kind contributions (a pro tools engineer, for example), and help with promotions).There will be great visability for both artist and underwriters.This will be a high quality audio / video production. Intended to be widely distributed.

People from all walks of life, a diversity of cultural and economic backgrounds, and ethnicity come together to produce meaningful media every day.
Our community members produce more television programs covering a vast diversity of topics, forums, information, and presentations than I have space or time to mention here.

Our community engagment initiatives include interactive web site, a WiFi hotspot(as available),community computer lab, community produced programs and creative media partnerships, year round TV production classes and workshops, after school Youth Media and more. WCCA TV has created and developed the following initiaitves which are key components of our programatic offerings to encourage participation. These include such Easy Access programs and events: Soapbox (ongoing since 1991), KidsNet/Youth Channel (after school and summer multimedia for youth ongoing since 1991), Video Jam and Video Jam Specials including Video Jam Uncovered ongoing since 1992 ), Community Vision News Magazine (ongoing since 1992), and our annual events include "ALMOST Annual Auction"(ongoing), ArtATTACK (annually-ongoing)+ and more.
