Citizens for Reform of Entertainment And Media

Don't Trust Corporate Media.

About Me

It is kind of funny to see a media reform group on myspace, huh. Well, like we always say; "The greedy corporate media will give you the rope to hang them with as long as they can sell advertising space on it!" We are the Citizens for Reform of Entertainment And Media and this is....OUR MISSION:---------------------------------------------------- -------------------- Citizens for Reform of Entertainment And Media is a volunteer organization which is dedicated to promoting a broader selection of media and entertainment sources for Connecticut residents. It is the goal of C.R.E.A.M. to educate the public about the dangers of corporate consolidation of media ownership, offer opportunities for local activism and help independent media sources to be seen, read and heard.------------------------------------------------------ --------------- ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- Please check out the various links on this page to learn more about the public struggle to bring back an accountable media system or hear what indie media sounds like. A true democracy relies on a well informed public to make decisions on very important issues. A diverse selection of media helps to bring a variety of viewpoints to the people's eyes and ears and allows them to develop their own informed opinion.---------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------ TAKE ACTION NOW by signing online petitions to support public and independent media! VIEW VIDEO about media during wartime. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- INDEPENDENT MUSIC also relies on local, non-corporate media to break their sounds (often new and innovative and later duplicated by major labels). Without independent radio the FM dials would be clogged by the same 15 commercial songs all day (in between advertisements). So whether you are tired of government propaganda news or just sick of bad music dominating the airwaves you have to take action to fight back. We the people own the airwaves and allow these corporations to use them and make enormous profits off of them. It's time that they become accountable to us as the law intended it to be. Public service is required as a term of use and most americans seem to have forgotten this. Please take action and stand with us and our allies whose links are on this page to stop certain members of the FCC from giving away the whole dial to a hand full of greedy, profit-driven corporations. ------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------------------- C.R.E.A.M. can be contacted via email through this page or via snail mail at: P.O. Box 2151 Salem, CT 06420
