If I can't dance its not my revolution!- e goldman

About Me

Profile courtesy of Free MySpace Layouts
The League is trying to put the party back into politics. Our mission is to engage pissed off young people in the democratic process to build a progressive governing majority in our lifetime.

It started with a book called "How to Get Stupid White Men Out of Office." Then came a massive Get-Out-the-Vote effort in 2004 and indyvoter.org a social networking site for activists.

Now the League is building regional chapters to keep young people involved in politics, put down some local roots, and throw some kick ass parties along the way.

My Interests

Electoral reform, a functioning accessible healthcare system, affordable education, community building.

I'd like to meet:

Creative, dynamic people who want to change the world.

We are ready to train a batallion of volunteers and interns, especially those under 18, who would be down for doing outreach at the hot spots where ya'll hang out like concerts, malls, the street, your neighborhood etc, as well as data entry and office stuff.

Also, our sister organization, The League of Young Voters Education Fund, is looking for high school youth in the bay area (specifically areas around Stockton, Dublin, Livermore, Manceta, etc) who might be able to hook us up with some government teachers so we can come and present to your classrooms.

If you wanna volunteer, holla and hit us up! We'd love to have you!
