In 2004 the profound understanding that the Fine Arts as well as all forms of individual free speech were being challenged and infringed upon by a conservative political and social climate in the United States. Public funding for the arts, and art programs in public education was being cut from the federal and state bugdets. Also, following the Columbine massacre and the events leading to the invasion of Iraq by the United States military. Young adults were being demonized in the popular media and by conservative political persons/organizations simply on the basis of thier unconventional dress, hair styles, sexual orientation, and body art. There is a voice for the alternative to the mainstream, and through this simple idea of promotion of alternative artists, clothing design, alt./ink/industrial modeling Essex P&P has flourished. The acceptance of the reality is acceptance of individual differences in artistic expression and buisness is an ideals all people should strive for and in everday living. Through an acceptance of alternate concepts of the self, bueaty and artistic expression is the beauty that creates, tolerance, acceptance and truth among us all.
