.. Jonathan Pemberton Bey aka Jon Base was signed to Atlantic Cotillion records in 1986 by Timmy Regisford and Hank Caldwell. He also wrote and arranged "the Gucci Man " by MC Holiday. The group known as Clear Sound( Jonathan Pemberton Bey & Richard Nedd) also helped to arrange Dana Dane's Nightmares with Sam Jacobs Jr. & Sr. The group had to disband right after the release of their song "The New Wave". In 1989 Jonathan became an operator for New York Telephone and from there went on to be a DSL specialist. in 1996, He met 34th generation Shaolin Monk Shi Guo Lin and became his deciple. He went on tour around the United States doing martial arts demonstrations for The NBA during their halftime shows, as well as for functions to support battered women and racism for Arnold Schwarzennegger's not for profit organization. In 2003, Jonathan decided to team up with long time family friend Chuck Stanley to start a record company after the death of Toye Pemberton, cousin to Jonathan. From there it took four years to find an artist like Lil' Madd. Jonathan and brother Billy Foxx Pemberton did their thing. He co produced Mamacita and sang the hook. Not bad for old school.
